ABSTRACT

Suparman : The Influence of  Competence and Discipline  Toward Teacher’s Performance  with Organizational Commitment As Mediation (study on  junior high school teachers at  pati regency)
The performance is primarily a result achieved by the workers according to the standard or criteria established in accordance with a specific job. performance of teachers in its implementation, can be influenced by several factors such as competence, discipline and organizational commitment. This study aimed to analyze the effect of teacher competence, Discipline to Performance, moderated by Organizational commitment (Studies in Secondary Schools Teachers in Pati)
The population in this study are all Junior High School Teacher of Civil Servants (PNS) that have been certified in all Pati many as 540 teachers. Sampling using proportional random sampling using Slovin formula in determining the sample obtained sampel.dan 230 teachers, then to obtain the data we used a questionnaire that was circulated throughout the teacher's sample of 230 questionnaires that we distribute 206 questionnaires returned 24 did not return.
The model developed in this study consists of five hypotheses were tested using SPSS as a tool of analysis.
The results showed that the variables of Teacher Competency has a positive influence on Organizational Commitment proved the value of the standardized beta coefficient of 0.440 and a significance level of 0.000 indicates that the value is ≤ 0.05,
Discipline teachers have a positive influence on organizational commitment. It is evident from the value of the standardized beta coefficient of 0.357 and a significance test results showed that the value of 0.00 ≤ 0.05, Teacher competency has a positive impact on teacher performance seen from the value of the standardized beta coefficient of 0.364 and a significance test results indicate that the value is of 0.00 ≤ 0.05,
Discipline has a positive impact on teacher performance proved the value of the standardized beta coefficient of 0.295 and a significance test results showed that the value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 and
Organizational commitment has a positive effect on teacher performance proved the value of the standardized beta coefficient of 0.188 and a significance test results showed that the value of 0.006 ≤ 0.05
Teacher competence with organizational commitment has not been proven mediation has an influence on the performance of junior high school teacher in the District of Pati, where results are proven by test results of mediation that the direct effect is greater than the indirect effect (0.364> 0.052). From the description it can be concluded that more effective competence directly affects the performance without the mediation of organizational commitment
Discipline teacher mediation of organizational commitment are not proven to improve the performance of teachers in Secondary Schools Pati, where results are proven by test results of mediation that the direct effect is greater than the indirect effect (0.295> 0.042). Effect of discipline teachers on teacher performance are more effective (direct) than go through organizational commitment
